Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of centraljerseywater.com, which is operated by Central Jersey Water ("we," "us"). By using the website or submitting a request, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
What this website does
Central Jersey Water helps homeowners in Central New Jersey request a free consultation about water treatment, such as filtration, water softeners, reverse osmosis, and well water treatment. We connect your request with an independent, locally operating water treatment provider. We do not ourselves test water, sell equipment, or perform installation or repair work.
Not a utility
Central Jersey Water is not a water utility, municipality, or government agency, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for any water utility. Names of utilities and agencies appear on this website only to identify public sources of information. For questions about your public water service or billing, contact your water utility directly.
Sharing your request
When you submit the form, you agree that your request and contact details may be shared with an independent, locally operating water treatment provider who will contact you about it. The provider is a separate business, not our employee or agent.
The provider does the work
Any testing, recommendation, sale, installation, repair, or service is performed by the provider, under a separate agreement between you and that provider. The provider is solely responsible for its work, its products, its prices, its warranties, its permits, and its compliance with the law. In New Jersey, installing or disconnecting water treatment equipment connected to a home's plumbing is plumbing work that must be done by, or under the supervision of, a licensed master plumber (N.J.A.C. 13:32). You are free to ask any provider for its license and insurance details before work begins, and we encourage you to do so. We do not guarantee, warrant, or take responsibility for any provider's work.
The consultation is free
Requesting and receiving a consultation costs you nothing, and you are under no obligation to buy anything. Any price for products or work is set by the provider and agreed between you and the provider before work starts.
Consent to be contacted
By submitting a request you ask Central Jersey Water and the provider handling your request to contact you about it by phone call, text message, or email at the number and address you gave, including by automated means such as autodialed calls or texts. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also ask to stop email or calls at any time. You confirm that the phone number you submit is yours or that you are authorized to use it.
No legal, health, or professional advice
Information on this website is general and for educational purposes. It is not legal, medical, health, engineering, or other professional advice, and it does not describe the water in any particular home. Water quality differs from house to house, even on the same street. For decisions about health, rely on a certified laboratory test, your utility's annual Consumer Confidence Report, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and your doctor. Figures we cite from public sources are shown with their source and year and may have changed since.
No guarantee of results
We do not promise any particular result from a consultation, test, or treatment system, and we do not guarantee that a provider will be available in your area or at a particular time.
Acceptable use
Please do not submit false information, requests on behalf of someone else without their permission, or automated or bulk submissions, and do not try to interfere with the website's operation or security.
Website content and links
We try to keep the website accurate but provide it "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for their content.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Central Jersey Water and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any damages arising from a provider's products, services, or conduct. Our total liability for any claim related to the website will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
